Also in MCA Hogarth’s Livejournal entry is a commenter who brings up the neotony as a possible cause for the appearance of anime-style animation.

It’s been a while since I’ve really posted much of anything, but today’s trail of breadcrumbs has lead me through a number of interesting Wikipedia articles that I’d like to keep track of for more in-depth reading (and more breadcrumbing :) ) later.
Today’s trail started at MCA Hogarth’s LiveJournal entry here, wherein she mentions the term “uncanny valley.” And from there to Wikipedia.
Direct offshoots from the Uncanny Valley article that I haven’t had a chance to get into yet:
The Uncanny
The Polar Express
Humanoid Robot

It all started here, at Judge A Book By Its Cover…and just went downhill from there.
The breadcrumb trail began via this article, and and held my attention like some bizarre galactic train wreck for the rest of the evening. See the rest of today’s links for the progression.
